Atlas is For Sale!

2008 Jeanneau 45DS with Extensive Upgrades
$259,000 USD

We always knew that this time might come, but we didn’t think it would happen within the first year! Our boat is for sale and available now. Currently located in The Exumas, Bahamas, she is a Canadian-flagged vessel with import duties paid.

Atlas is a shoal draft, 3 cabin, 2 head version, with 75 hp upgraded Yanmar engine with 4 blade Variprop, Fischer Panda generator, reverse cycle A/C and heat, MaxPower bow thruster and three powered winches, 10′ Gala dinghy with custom flooring and 9.8 hp Tohatsu engine (new 2019).

With plans to cruise the Caribbean for at least 12-18 months, we pushed forward with many great upgrades for both comfort and safety. In the past two years we’ve added:
— All new Raymarine electronics, including radar
and autopilot (July 2020)
— New Firefly Carbon Foam domestic battery bank (4 x 110ah), Firefly Carbon Foam auxiliary batteries for windlass and bow thruster (2 x 110 ah) and two new NorthStar AGM start batteries for engine and generator (July 2020)
— New standing (Dec. 2021) and running (June 2021) rigging
— New Groco thru hulls and ball valves (Dec. 2021)
— New cockpit cushions (July 2020)
— New Rocna 33 kg anchor and 200 feet of chain (June 2021)

OVERVIEW
Atlas is a 2008 Jeanneau 45DS. We’re the second owners and she’s been a freshwater boat her whole life, up until July 2021 when we headed south from Lake Ontario, bound for the Caribbean. We bought her in August 2015 and one of the first things that attracted us to the boat was the excellent cockpit.

From the minute we came onboard, it was a huge selling feature and remains one of the things we love the most about this boat. Down below, the main living areas are light, bright and airy. We appreciate the head room, as well as all the extra storage space under the floorboards, that comes with being a deck saloon. It is an incredibly comfortable and easy boat to sail and to live aboard for short and longer-term stints.
